I don’t think this is a bad habit. I’d be more likely to call posting a bit of a very entertaining zombie story and then not following up on it for ages a bad habit to get into, myself.

That zombie story was some entertaining isht, right? I can’t post any more for very good reasons that I can’t go into at the moment, if you catch my drift. However I’ll probably post the complete story when I can, somewhere…
And by the way, they don’t like to be called zombies.
